Design Approach
Each stamp started with sourcing a strong photo of the artist, then removing the background in Photoshop to isolate the subject. The patterned backdrop was chosen to complement the colors and energy of their outfit, giving each stamp its own distinct palette while keeping the series cohesive through the shared stamp format.
The stamp structure (the perforated border, "USA · BHM" label, and "Forever" denomination) grounds each design in the tradition of commemorative postage while celebrating artists who have shaped the sound of generations.
