02 / Project Overview

The Redesign

Passio Technology is an Atlanta-based transit technology company serving 250+ agencies, including NC A&T State University. Their Passio GO app provides free real-time transit tracking — but its generic branding and confusing navigation created no connection to the Aggie community.

The Problem

Generic green branding with no university identity, technical instability, and navigation patterns that felt like any city transit app — not a campus service.

Research

Developed two user personas — Jasmine Williams (student) and Marcus Thompson (facilities coordinator) — to anchor every design decision in real user needs.

Process

Produced low, mid, and high fidelity wireframes across three key screens, plus a before & after comparison and a 6-dimension cognitive analysis.

Outcome

Rebranded from generic green to NC A&T blue and gold, replaced complex navigation with card-based flows, and repositioned the app as a campus community service.
